Established in 1971, VEST Community Transport exists to provide essential transport services for those in Cardiff who are unable to use public transport.

In addition to this, our Dial a Bus service provides shopping assistance in Cardiff as well as in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our dedicated team of trained drivers caters especially to elderly and disabled individuals, facilitating local trips for shopping, leisure activities, day centre visits, as well as longer outings.

Meet the Trustees

Meet our dedicated trustees, who bring diverse skills and experience—from technology and the Welsh Government to committed volunteer work.

Their guidance and support help us stay focused on our mission and serve our community effectively. We’re proud to have such a capable team leading us forward.

Donations

We are a Registered Charity, number 518275, and although we receive subsidies from Cardiff Council and some central government funding to help with our overheads, of course, these grants never entirely cover our costs, so donations are an additional way in which we can be financially assisted.

We are lucky to have received donations in the past from kind and generous customers and/or their next of kin, also some church groups, but we are always needing to receive more to assist us in our work.

If you or a family member has benefitted or is currently grateful for the service that VEST has provided and wish to make a donation then please contact Richie our Operations Manager on 02920 490335 or email him on enquiries@vest.org.uk where he will discuss with you the easiest way to receive your gift and provide you with Vest's bank details.

You may even wish to think about VEST when writing a will or dealing with a loved one's assets who has benefitted from VEST during their lifetime.  Again, speak to Richie in confidence about this.

Finally an enormous 'Thank You' to those who have donated in the past and to those considering an imminent donation.  We guarantee to use all donation to provide the best possible all round service to our customers.

The Trustees.
