Flexible Independent Transport Service (FITS) is a personalised transport scheme designed for residents who are unable to use, or face significant barriers using, conventional transport within Cardiff.

​

FITS aims to provide a personalised independent service allowing registered users to undertake one way, one off journeys for any purpose, be that to visit relatives, join the family on a holiday or enjoy a stay in disabled-friendly accommodation.  The destination must be within 2.5 hours drive from Cardiff (please see the map below for guidance).

All vehicles are wheelchair accessible via ramp and fitted with a winch. This allows manual and electric wheelchairs to enter and exit the vehicle.

Capacity:  Vehicles can carry up to 3 passengers, allowing carers to accompany the users if required. However, capacity will be reduced based on the amount of luggage taken. 

​

The earliest departing time from Cardiff is 09:00 - Any return journey must start between 11:00 and 14:00.
